31 Days of Halloween--Day 10

Another goodie bag. This is one of the projects that I am developing for a friend's kid's class. I have always been a fan of buying bulk candy and making goodie bags. The goodie bags were purchased from Sur La Table. The bag topper was a piece of orange card stock that was cut to size. The die cut was left over from  yesterday's project.

To assemble the bag, simply measure the width of the bag and cut the card stock. For the height of the card stock, measure the image and add one inch to this measurement. Score the card stock in half parallel to the width dimension. For my bag, the width of the of the bag was 5 inches and the height was 4 inches. I scored the card stock so that it measured 5 inches in width by 2 inches in height.

Take the die cut and affix it to the card stock so that the image appears half above and half below the scored line. Cut a border around the image so that it starts and finishes at the score line. When the card stock is folded in half, the die cut will pop up.

Staple the topper to the folded goodie bag on each side of the card stock.

The project took 10 minutes to complete since these were all left over materials.
